First the wedding, now the marriage.

What a whirlwind to organise two beautifully executed full on ceremonies. The South African was for the Emil's (groom) family and friends. Emil's whole family lives in South Africa with his mum and dad shifting to America after the wedding. So it's a bitter sweet time to say goodbye to the ties and welcome a new beginning. They shifted to live near Emil's sister in America. Walking with the elephants would have been such a highlight for me as it all looked so amazing. The ceremony I wrote was used for the South African wedding so the story and format had continuity. The only difference was they had all the legal aspects thrown in the ceremony here and signed to be married in Australia. Five weeks after their wedding they had the actual marriage in Nicole's mothers back yard which was so fitting and appropriate. It really felt great. The reception was at the Pumphouse in Carlton. The weather was obviously very different to the weather in South Africa though. Such a wonderful, meaningful, happy, easygoing couple it was one of the joys of being a celebrant to marry them.

Watch out New York here we come...

Catherine R Couture is an exceptionally talented designer and with over 25yrs experience it's not wonder she has been commissioned to put a range of wedding gowns together to be specifically aimed at the New York market. This exciting venture has now finally started and with a totally new flavour of 'WOW' I can't wait to see the final package. Catherine is balancing her existing bridal couture business in Kew with the new venture and Yoga classes she instructs on a weekly basis. I am constantly amazed at Catherine's ability to get things done without fuss and with a smile. She has a retreat organised in Bali in June for those who can take the break with food meticulously planned and every detail organised to ensure a relaxing, healthy and beneficial time. Anyone interested can look up her web page and make enquiries. I have been on one and they are fantastic, nothing disappoints. You have probably seen Catherine's designs in Melbourne Bride or any of the other bridal magazines as she is has regular features. I have seen the amount of work, talent and dedication that Catherine and the staff apply to their work and you can rest assured that no matter how busy you will always be welcomed with a smile. I know this is going to be an absolute hit and wish Catherine and Mary (artist) the best for this new venture.
